William Davis - Chief ExecutiveWilliam Davis

William Davis joined the A-T Society as its first Chief Executive in May 2010 after working in a number of different charities. Having lived and worked closely with people with disabilities for many years, William is passionate about ensuring that society gives them the opportunities and support they need to live their lives independently and to their full potential. He is also a strong believer in the value that volunteers and volunteering bring to organisations like the A-T Society.
William is a keen cyclist so can often be found cycling the Chiltern Hills at weekends as well as taking on cycling events to fundraise for A-T Society. He is also an experienced double bass player and performs with several orchestras. 





Kay Atkins - Family Support ManagerImage of Kay Atkins

Kay started her career in care work where her calm and caring nature made her a hit with the patients and staff. Kay left nursing to join the A-T Society in 2001. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience about the condition and is the main point of contact for people with A-T and their families. Kay provides a listening ear, information about living with A-T and practical support of all kinds including advocacy, attending meetings and contact with schools, doctors and local authorities. 

 Outside of work Kay enjoys spending time with her family and walking her dog. She loves to relax with a hot cup of tea, a good book and a bar of milk chocolate. 






 Anne Murray - Family Support Co-ordinator Anne Murray Profile Picture

Anne joined the A-T Society in 2015 to work alongside Kay in Family Support. Anne has always worked in health and social care in a variety of roles and has vast experience working within the constraints of the statutory sector. She most recently worked as an Occupational Therapist within a disabled children's team. Living and working abroad for a number of years provided Anne with valuable experience working with people from different cultures and backgrounds. Her compassionate nature and her ability to get things done means that she is a great addition to the Family Support team. 

In her spare time she loves nothing better than going out walking no matter what the weather! A Northern lass at heart she has a good sense of humour and is partial to spending good old fashioned quality time with her family and friends. 





Suzanne Roynon - Fundraising and Relationship ManagerPicture of Suzanne Roynon

Suzanne joined the A-T Society in autumn 2010. Her background in healthcare together with skills in research, public speaking, life coaching and a boundless enthusiasm provide a sound basis for her role.   As an all-rounder, Suzanne’s experience includes community, trust and corporate fundraising. She now focuses on Corpoate and Major Donor Fundraising. 

Suzanne's practical 'hands-on' nature means she is likely to be found up a ladder with a paintbrush in her hand at weekends. She enjoys art, theatre, international travel, dancing jive and blues. 





Sarah Ajder - Community and Events Fundraiser Sarah Ajder fundraising team

Sarah joined us in July 2017 and brings a wealth of experience as a Community and Event Fundraiser having worked at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and a local Hospice in Hertfordshire for a total of 14 years.

Sarah loves nothing more supporting fundraisers and is full of admiration for the many mad, marvellous and magnificent events, challenges and activities people undertake to raise vital funds. From cakes sales to six weeks solo pilgrimage treks, Sarah has enjoyed supporting them all.

Not one to sit on the fence, Sarah gets active alongside her fundraisers too! She raves about the exhilaration of tandem skydiving and organised and accompanied a fundraising trek to Nepal.   

Sarah enjoys walking holidays with friends, live music concerts, visiting museums and pushing herself outside her comfort zone to try a new adventure and make new friends. 



Sophie Arnold - Fundraising Co-ordinator 

Sophie has a background in psychology but her love of books and reading led her to pursue a career in Publishing. She worked as a Marketing Manager at a large book publisher in London.  

Sophie before joining the A-T Society Fundraising Team.   

Sophie has two young children, when she is not spending time with her family she still enjoys reading and talking about books.   






Jo Reader - Registry Co-ordinator Jo Reader Profile Picture

Jo started her career in the travel industry testing and managing database systems and training team members. In 2015 a change in career direction led to Jo joining the A-T Society. Jo's in depth knowledge of database systems has been put to good use at the A-T Society and her organised nature means the office runs more smoothly.

Jo is an avid film buff who loves watching films and taking her young family to the cinema.   







Kate McEleney - Communications Officer Kate McEleney Profile Picture

Kate joined the A-T Society in 2015 following a 15 year marketing career in blue chip companies. She has substantial experience running marketing campaigns, writing compelling copy and corporate networking. A change in career direction led her to the A-T Society where she works part-time as our Communications Officer looking after our website, social media, newsletter amongst other things. 

Outside of work Kate enjoys spending time with her young family and exploring the Lake District where you can experience 4 seasons in one day.
