Are you willing....?

Publication date: 7 September 2016

Making a Will is one of the most important decisions you will ever make.  It is all the more important for the parents of disabled children.  Who will take care of them if you are no longer around to do so? Where will they live? And how do you balance their needs against those of their siblings?

Over the past few months, the A-T Society has been working closely with Remember a Charity and Co-op Legal Services. Supporters of the charity can make a will at the discounted rate of £99 for a single Will or £169 for 'mirror Wills' for a couple. Go to www.coop.co.uk/legalservices and use the discount code RAC_ATS1. You have the option to leave a legacy if you wish to do so. This special offer is available until 30th November 2016.

Jackie, mother of a child who has A-T, set up her appointment to write a Will last week.  "Nearly ticked this off our to-do list, and it's so easy! Contacted them online using the special code and they arranged to ring me, at a time slot convenient for me, to discuss how it all works and check some details. An evening telephone appointment is arranged for next week, paperwork arrived yesterday advising what questions would be asked so we are all prepared. Thank you for making this so simple."

So why not take the first steps and book your appointment today..?
