Talking to or meeting with other people with A-T and their families can be very beneficial. Whether you have A-T or you are a parent, talking to others in the same situation can be a great help. This may be by telephone or e-mail, or meeting up with someone within your local area.
There is an A-T Society page on Facebook which you are welcome to join.
Activity Breaks for Adults with A-T
Every year we try to provide an event/break for people with A-T over the age of 16. These events are always very popular and are a way for people to get together socially, as well as to try out different activities. These are some of the events we have provided in recent years:
- West-end shows in London
- Snow-boarding (with the Disabled Skiing Association)
- Week away with Revitalise (specialist holiday centres for people with physical disabilities)
- Sailing holiday with the Jubilee Sailing Trust
- Activity and Consultation Weekend in Milton Keynes, including Air Kicks (a bit like a skydive or parachute jump)
Our latest Adult Activity weekend in November 2015 was a great success. To read all about the weekend and find details of up coming events please go to Latest activities
